God is a Politician and I will tell you how. Sit back, relax, let me gist you what happened in Abule yesterday.

Should Religious Leaders Involved In Politics? (Is God A Politician?)

Yesterday, Sahara reporters owner and activist Omoyele Sowore said that Dunamis International Gospel Centre and it owner Dr. Paul Enenche unlawfully arrested and tortured #BuhariMustGo activists.

What Happened?

According to him, Paul Enenche personally sent his church security to hunt them down after they left the church premises and were dragged back into the church premises and illegally detained and tortured at the security post run by the church, before handing them over to the DSS.

My Feelings?

I felt bad about that, but why and what are #BuhariMustGo activists doing in a church? Does church look like state government house or Aso Rock? And how on earth do Sowore think can get an elected president with protest? Funny!

😂

No doubt, Paul Enenche is a political pastor who work with/for the Nigerian government. He shouldn’t have hand over the activists to DSS. That action is too suspicious and extreme for a supposed man of God. But hey dude is just tryna secure the bag from FG.

Back to the primary topic of discussion.

I think the question is supposed to be, “Should Nigerian Religious Leaders Involve In Politics?

The answer is NO. None of them is qualified for that. According to a friend Bisi, he wrote and I quote,

“Religion is an opium. Politics is war. Both are interwoven. There is politics in the church, once you do not strike the right cord, you cannot be promoted or taken to a ‘juicy’ church. As a pastor you have to lobby, even buy gifts and ensure payment of ‘fat tithe’ to curry the favour of those in charge of promotion.

“Religion and politics have been bound in a passionate love-hate affair since the beginning of time. Bearing in mind the volatility of Nigeria and the havocs religious crises have wrecked in the country, one may ask: should religion and politics be mixed, most especially in a secular state like Nigeria? Should men of God be involved in politics? Should they be seen hobnobbing with politicians? And if they are mixed, would the mixture be like “manna from heaven”, or a powerful poison that burns everything it touches?”.

He added,

“During the Middles Ages, the church was a formidable power, potent enough to threaten the monarch. To keep itself strong and viable, the church encouraged feudalism and discouraged independent thought. However, massive corruption and abuse of power by the church led to popular dissent and revolution”.

Unfortunately, almost all Nigerian men of God are deeply into it secretly. This includes your favorites, Bishop Oyedepo, Kumuyi, Father Mbaka, Pastor Adeboye and the rest. They wine and dine with your oppressors in Aso Rock. They see nothing wrong with the present condition of the country, because they benefit from it!

God Is A Politician?

Yes God has His hand in politics, reason why His slaves (Men of God) in Nigeria, can’t help salvage the situation in the country today.

👉🏿God Political Speech

Romans 13: 1-3 says

“Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished.

“For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you.”

This was seconded in 1 Peter 2: 13-16, which says

“Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by Him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.

“For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.

Did you read the “God’s slaves” line? I don’t wanna elaborate this sha hahaha SLAVES indeed!

Summary:

The bottom line is, religious leaders are allowed, supposed to involved in politics, but definitely not the ones we have here in Nigeria. They’re more corrupt than pagans.
