American rapper Lil Tjay was shot just after midnight today in Edge water, New York according to a TMZ report. 
The 22 year old rapper whose real name is Tione Merritt, according to Bergen County Prosecutors office was shot at Promenade Shopping Center at about 12:05 am today, one victim was found on the scene with multiple gun wounds, while another was found on nearby Exxon station on River road with a single gun shot wound, while the rapper is currently in an emergency surgery citing Law Enforcement officers.
Lil Tjay has 7 million followers on his Instagram account and has released two studio albums through Columbia Records, that each charted in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200, his 2021″calling my name” song with 6lack debuted 3 on 100, and still making waves today. 
Prosecutors did not say if any suspects were arrested or charged in connection with the shooting as investigations continue.
