God’s love may inspire individuals to do extraordinary things, such as a Nollywood star becoming a pastor. Some Nollywood stars have given up their worldly lifestyles, quit unhealthy habits, and made huge life changes as a result of their love for God.
These Nollywood actors and actresses either integrated the two worlds or abandoned the entertainment industry and movie career as actors and actresses in order to preach the gospel as pastors.
The following actors switched from acting to become ministers in the Lord before we could say jack;
Eucharia Anunobi is a renowned Nollywood actress best known for her appearance in the 1995 film “Glamour Girls.” In 2005, he also released “Abuja Connection.”
Eucharia Anunobi had done some intense and controversial roles in the film industry, but when she revealed that she had devoted her life to Christ, she stunned everyone. She, on the other hand, maintained that being a pastor did not prevent her from taking on promiscuous positions.
On February 5, 2012, Eucharia Anunobi was anointed as an evangelist. Pastor Psalm Okpe ordained her at the Fresh Oil Ministry Church in Egbeda, Lagos State.
Majid Michel, a Nigerian actor who grew up in Accra, Ghana, has also revealed his vocation to gospel preaching. He is one of the few artists on our list who has successfully combined acting and evangelism. Unlike his other Nollywood peers who stopped acting totally after accepting Christ, Majid Michel is still active in the film industry, however he will no longer be featured in love films.
“You will not see my buttocks, you will not see s3xually explicit scenes, you won’t hear bad language but you will identify things that will propel your spirit to somewhere great. We will reduce all the explicit scenes you used to see. I’m going to regulate whatever provokes the emotions of man, be it 3exually or any negative way. I won’t stop being bad in movies but I will regulate the kind of bad scenes you will see”.
Charles Okafor is a renowned Nollywood actor who took a long break from acting before making a comeback in Uche Jombo’s film “Misplaced.” When he appeared alongside Saint Obi, Zack Orji, and Richard Mofe Damijo, he earned a reputation for himself before departing.
Charles Okafor is now an ordained pastor who preaches God’s word and wins people for Christ.
Elizabeth Benson, also known as Liz Benson, is a veteran Nollywood actress who began her career in 1993 on the iconic Nigerian television soap opera “Fortunes.” She had a great performing career before becoming an evangelist at the Rainbow Christian Assembly Church in Warri, Delta State.
