LET’s TALK!!! Wizkid Is Bigger And Greater Than Fela Kuti – Do You Agree?
Famous for pairing his music with politics and with human rights activism, Fela stood against Nigeria’s military dictators, often at great personal cost to his family and band members.
His art has become fuel for a new generation of creators who are tapping into his music, and the spirit behind it, to make new records.
Before you come for me, kindly understand the fact that I’ve brought this debate up after I saw it on Twitter.
Sometimes, Some argument sound baseless when we don’t really read meaning to the possibilities around it.
However, I’ve often said drawing comparisons between Wizkid and Fela in terms of music will only disgrace Wizkid more. He is a strong (probably the strongest) comparison to Legendary Fela in terms of music but its a big disrespect tho!
For someone to still make a Tweet like this in this new time, there are still a lot more people who thinks and believe Wizkid is a better, greater artiste than Fela Kuti.
However we can turn this into a conversation by enlightening ourselves on why or why not the argument is valid.
