Is Mobile Phones & Laptop Allowed In US Prison? Did Hushpuppi Truly Commit $400,000 Crime While In Prison?
First off, the recent news about Hushpuppi, is fake.
I’m debunking this because I also shared the news as received to you guys without a proper check.
According to the malicious reports, it reads:
“Popular Instagram celebrity Hushpuppi has received fresh charges as US prosecutors submit court documents showing how he committed fraud and laundered over $400k from behind bars.
It was said that US prosecutors presented documents before the United States District Court of California on Wed 16th March 2022 with fresh evidence indicting HushPuppi of committing fraud and money laundering in U.S Federal correctional facility”.
FAKE NEWS!
Ask yourself this question. Are mobile devices allowed in the US prison?
ANSWER: In most jurisdictions in the United States, prison inmates are forbidden from possessing mobile phones due to their ability to communicate with the outside world and other security issues.
The thing is, mobile phones are one of the most smuggled items into prisons. They provide inmates the ability to make and receive unauthorized phone calls, send email and text messages, use social media, and follow news pertaining to their case, among other forbidden uses.
So to manage and control this, the United States Department of Corrections introduced a device system called “Manage Access“.
Managed access was meant to manage cellular network access from contraband phones within a corrections facility.
A managed access system functions like a femtocell or low-power cell tower which passes calls to cellular carriers; however, only communications from approved devices and emergency calling are allowed.
So there’s no way on earth could Hush bypass the manage access system to purchase EIP debit cards from the so called underground cyber criminal marketplace called StimulusCard.
Becareful of the the so called Stimuluscard website. Don’t visit or register. It belongs to scammers.
I personally visited and registered to see things for myself. See attached screenshot below.
So you see what I’m talking about? The website is malicious. The whole news seem like a paid advert by Yahoo Boys with Hushpuppi’s name and image. STAY SAFE! –marliansTV
