Cyber fraud, locally known as Yahoo Yahoo in Nigeria, takes various shapes and forms which have undergone evolution in recent years.

Cybercriminals  continue to operate and improve their scams with tech tools such as: VPN applications to mask their location, photo manipulation software to create false appearances, taking advantage of bitcoin anonymity to receive fraudulent proceeds and creating web pages for phishing and a lot more.

Hardly does a week pass without the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) parading young men for cyber fraud or some being jailed by courts for internet fraud-related offences.

It has almost become a way of life in our society today. Everyone wants to buy and drive Benz by all means regardless of the consequences. In the past few years, a lot of young people have been arrested by the police for allegedly indulging in cybercrime locally known as Yahoo Yahoo.

The funny part of it is that, they get sentenced to 6 to 1 year in prison only. Why not 20 years at least.
